Uber Drivers Foil Microsoft Move of Biometric Claims to US Court

Two former Uber drivers won their bid to remand two of their biometric privacy claims against Microsoft Corp. back to state court, after a US judge in Illinois agreed that they didn’t have standing to pursue them in federal court.

Chicago-based Uber drivers Emad Kashkeesh and Michael Komorski claim that they had to photograph their faces in real time through Uber’s “Real Time ID Check” security feature to register as Uber drivers.
