Clean Energy, EV Infrastructure Plan Advanced by House Panel

A House energy panel advanced $150 billion for a clean electricity performance program and a $13.5 billion electric vehicle infrastructure plan as part of Democrats’ tax and spending legislation.

The House Energy and Commerce Committee approved a portion of the $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation measure (S. Con. Res. 14) Tuesday, after resuming a markup that began a day earlier. The vote for the energy section was 30-27, with Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-Ore.) the only Democrat to vote against the measure.
